Natural Mill Finish

The raw, honest face of aluminium — industrial and architectural.

Natural Mill Finish

How this finish performs in real life

Mill finish is aluminium in its natural state after extrusion — uncoated, with a matte silver sheen. It has a clean, raw industrial character that suits contemporary and industrial-aesthetic buildings. Often used for internal applications or as a substrate before on-site finishing.

The right finish is chosen not just for how it looks on day one, but how it performs under India's heat, monsoon moisture, and pollution over decades of real use.

Best suited for

  • Contemporary and industrial-style interiors where raw materials are celebrated
  • Internal partitions and screens where weathering is not a concern
  • Architects specifying a deliberately unfinished, honest aesthetic
  • Applications where on-site painting or anodising will be done separately

Cleaning & maintenance

  • Wipe with a soft cloth — avoid leaving fingerprints on bare aluminium
  • Not recommended for external use without a protective coating
  • Can be lacquered or sealed on-site if a more refined look is wanted later

Specification notes from ARITSAN

  • Best suited for internal screens, furniture, and architectural feature elements
  • Over time, bare aluminium develops a natural patina — some clients prefer this
  • Can be combined with powder-coat or anodised sections in the same frame
